Just a quick update on our spring semester at the trailer park!
We started our new classes the last week of January. We were excited to meet a group of 6 new adults and a few new children. The new students are very limited in their English which is a new journey for us (as our previous students had a basic level of English). Our children learned about animals, including sheep. We learned that God is our shepherd. We also played games and sang songs.

Week 2: February 1st
We welcomed our new friends back for our second English class and also were excited to see a few familiar faces from our previous semester.
Andrew, Jennifer and Cesar have been leading the English classes and Bible studies for the adults. Taylor is another coworker who is studying to get her license in teaching English for second language learners. This has been a blessing in our structure and planning for our classes.
The second week with the kids, only brought Christopher back. But it was a blast to hang out with this 4 year old. He is finally trusting us and showing us his personality. He loves music so Cesar plays the guitar and Christopher plays the drums with him.
We also learned that God is good and celebrated the Lord with making instruments (shakers with beans in cans, kind of like maracas). Then we also played with blocks and painted.
This semester so far has been a great journey. I have loved being able to spend time with the children while their parents are able to focus on learning English. And it is fun to see my coworkers flourish in their areas of ministry and teaching, even in the little things like Cesar playing the guitar with the children.
Also, I have been blown away with how fundraising has been coming together! Between having tenants living in the trailer to cover a portion of the rent and having faithful donors help support the ministry, we have reached over $5000! Woo hoo! I am excited to see how the Lord provides over the next few weeks to help cover the remaining $2800 for this financial year!
