Today is the day!
June Passport participants arrived in Gainesville today to begin training! After finishing training with our leadership teams here at the office, they will be embarking on their international travel on June 7th.
Waiting for the participants to show up!
These 18-22 year olds have decided to reach out of their comfort zones to travel into other countries because they love Jesus!
He calls us to go into all nations! We have 6 different groups for June. They are going to: Albania, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, India, Southeast Asia (Thailand and Cambodia) and Swaziland!
I was blessed to mobilize three of those trips!
Below you will see their group pictures and a brief description of the ministries that they will work on during their trip!
The ministries that they will be joining will vary depending on the needs of that country, just like it was for me on the World Race. We love sending participants to partner alongside ministries–supporting and encouraging their year-long, everyday ministries.
All girls team going to the Dominican Republic:
Their main focus will be developing a kids camp program (similar to Vacation Bible School) that they will then run in the community throughout their time in the country. They also will be working on small construction projects and prayer walking throughout the city.
Co-Ed Group going to in Guatemala:
This group will break up into two teams for the first month, then work together in the second month. They will participate in sports ministries, street outreach, teaching English, loving on the mothers in the communities, food distribution, running a VBS type camp. During the second month, they will continue in a variety of ministries (camps, sports outreach, teaching English) but in a different city with another ministry.
All girls team going to Swaziland:
They will work with care-points to love on the children, reach out to the community in the rural town, helping in the hospitals to encourage patients, small construction projects, sports outreach with kids and evangelizing in the community.
Pray for these sweet souls as they surrender their hands, feet and hearts to the Lord this summer! Pray for a radical summer and for the Lord to show up and show out every day!
My advice for these participants: Enjoy the little moments. Laugh a lot and have fun. Be teachable.
XOXO,
~Beth
This is so exciting. And it must be so fulfilling to actually see and meet the teams that the lord let you bring together! Enjoy!
