Happy New Year!

I know it has been a while since you have heard from me or seen any updates. I truly enjoyed the holiday season with family and friends. It was a great time to renew and rejuvenate for a new year ahead!

Exciting Updates:

1. D-Squad is launching this weekend on the World Race!

This is the squad that I worked with in October when they were here for training camp. They will be in Atlanta for a few more days of training then they will launch for their 11 month mission trip!

Be in prayer for each of them as they are beginning an incredible journey together, and for the Lord to shower them with favor as they spread his love and name throughout the world and that their hearts would remain teachable throughout the process!

2. World Race Fusion is launching tomorrow too!

This is the World Race team that I have advised for the past year. I cannot believe it is already time for them to launch! It has been incredible to check in with them each month–to hear how the Lord has been incredibly faithful financially for them to reach their fundraising goals, to hear how the Lord has strengthen their faith and challenged their boldness, to hear how their testimony is making an impact in their home communities.

These 15 racers are coming together tomorrow night in Medellin, Colombia to begin their training camp and then launching into their 11 month mission trip! And guess what? I will be going with them for their first week on the field!

Just like I did last year with the team, I will meet them in the airport, and then we will travel together to the first destination. Last year’s travel day consisted of flying from Atlanta to New York to Egypt (saw the Pyramids) and then onto Uganda.

This year, my travel day is much easier and shorter. I fly from Atlanta to Ft. Lauderdale, then from Ft. Lauderdale to Medellin, Colombia.

Our two internationals (Rodolfo is from El Salvador and Kate is from Australia) will be traveling the journey alone and meet us in the airport in Colombia. Be praying for safe travels and peace!

The other 13 racers from the US will meet me tomorrow afternoon for our flight together tomorrow night. The US racers are: Emily, Vanessa, Christazia, Akelea, Joshua, Forrest, Jesse, Wade, Grace, Jordan, Alex, Haley, Jackie

I am so excited to meet these racers in person and to join them in the first week of their journey on the World Race. The first week of my World Race was an incredible roller coaster emotionally and spiritually. The Lord works and moves incredibly when you are so far out of your comfort zone! The next week will definitely be challenging for the racers but also fruitful. So join me in prayer for these racers as they say goodbye to their communities, leave comforts of home, and give over the next year of their life to the Lord to be used however he desires throughout the world.

I love to pray for these racers by name, so feel free to grab a name of a racer listed above and dedicate to pray for them throughout this next year!
